What Accidental Collective offers

As a performance company and as an collaborative ensemble, the members of Accidental Collective have acquired a portfolio of techniques, skills and exercises that are infinitely transferable to business contexts. The company has an in-depth knowledge of presentation and communication skills as well as the tools to work in an effective team. Accidental Collective has drawn upon its tool kit of cutting-edge contemporary performance approaches to provide new, exciting development and training opportunities.

Development and Training

Accidental Collective offers two types of development and training: Ready-to-Go and Bespoke.

The Ready-to-Go workshops are carefully constructed day-long workshops with focuses such as: communication and team work; presentation skills; creativity and problem solving. Accidental Collective have developed four specific workshop sessions with ‘applied theatre’ specialists at the University of Kent, Doctors Nicola Shaughnessy and Helen Brooks. These workshops are part of the ICE programme Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise) icekent.co.uk. For more information see enterprise@kent.ac.uk or call 01227 827376

A Bespoke package can cater for both small and large groups of people; it can also take place as a single session or over a period of time. It is designed to be entirely original and shaped to the needs of your team or business. Such a package can be designed around a specific requirement or area of focus that is important for you and your business. This could be anything from dealing with pressure to encouraging more positive attitudes in the workplace; or perhaps to reenergise and unite your workforce through a team activity. The package could involve a practical workshop (where participants are guided through a series of exercises), or an interactive performance (where the audience determines the outcome of the piece and thus reflect on and discuss the issues portrayed).

Facilitation and creative consultation

Accidental Collective’s members are also accomplished facilitators and can lead ice-breaking introductions, formal or informal discussions and enable feedback sessions. The company utilise creative methods of facilitation that aim to engage attendees, encourage team discussion, and invite evaluation. Accidental Collective’s members are also experienced in gathering feedback and empowering the audience, meaning they are ideally suited to conduct creative consultation on employees, clients, or consumer groups.

To discuss a Bespoke package, facilitation or creative consultation session, or to get further information on the development and training programmes Accidental Collective offers, please email Daisy Orton at forbusinesses@accidentalcollective.co.uk or call 07793 973447.

Testimonials

We asked Accidental Collective to scope and deliver a 2 hour high impact workshop on the dynamics of group behaviour in a complex organisation. The workshop was aimed at 100 senior managers with responsibility for Research projects. Accidental Collective were easy to deal with and sensitive to our needs. Despite highly technical content they brought the subject to life so we were able to hold a mirror up to the group and explore different behaviours and their impact. Accidental Collective researched thoroughly and performed brilliantly. Their good humour and well-judged script enabled us to challenge attitudes and behaviours in a non-confrontational way. A highly productive end to a good day.
